FAIR in the Schools

Since 1994 Rockbridge County Schools has partnered with Fine Arts in Rockbridge to offer visual arts, drama and dance instruction in the five county elementary schools.  FAIR brings experienced artists into the schools to teach students during the school day.

Marilyn Buerkens, Ellen Campbell, Elisabeth Daystar, Kelly Dorey,and Katie Sundby offer a comprehensive program to students in kindergarten through fifth grade on a weekly basis.  The teachers travel to Effinger, Mountain View, Central, Fairfield and Natural Bridge Elementary Schools.  The program is the only consistent arts instruction available in our county elementary schools.  FAIR promotes our public schools as a resource to understand and have access to the arts in the Rockbridge area community.
